TERRIBLE EARTH QUAKE!!

September 2nd, an earthquake had occur in the capital city of Indonesia which is Jakarta.

At least 23people had passed away trapped under by there houses when the 7.0 magnitude quake happened at about 3o'clock on Wednesday afternoon.
More than 24,800 homes, offices, schools and mosques were damaged. At least 3,100 people were forced into temporary shelters, and the Red Cross said it had distributed 1,500 tents, as well as blankets, clean water and other provisions.

And also a tsunami advisory had been going around.

You have good information here, Yuuki, but try to address the two social studies standards. 1) how the environment interacts with itself, and 2) how people in the environment have an impact. These are not easy ideas, but we must strive to understand them. We will continue to work on and discuss thise points in our social studies classes.
